They plainly said they removed those maps because they were redundant with the no pirates game option. Access to a great community, with a massive database of many, many areas of interest. The owners of this site are compensated by relationships with the recommended software products.

Both single and multiplayer. If so, does the game crash quickly again, or can you continue playing for a much longer time before crashing after a load. It crashing without any sort of notification is wierd, you usually get either a "Minidump" or "C++ runtime error". :-/ I'd either try using the "Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion So come on!

Reason for Karma (Optional) Successfully updated karma reason! Can't say for certain they will cover your issue, so next time there is a patch please bump this thread if you're still getting it. There was a galaxy file in: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy Oddly enough, it was last modified the day I installed 1.14 which to my knowledge I've never created any. A runtime error instead of a minidump means not only did the game crash, but the entire engine running on C++ died.

Where is sins when you got it through steam? I'll try the base game for a while, and see how often the game crashes (after an uninstall and reinstall).
This has been happening ever since I picked the game up again a week ago. My sys and vid have more than enough mem and power. If you still have the non-Rebellion version installed, you could try playing it for a couple hours and see if anything happens - if you want to do this it would check over here About to start trying stuff, just got back from errands and such.

However I might have changed which hard drive it was installed on, so I will have to make sure it's fully wiped, then reinstall it, just to make sure.

Building on the idea that a Windows Update caused this problem, I was able to boot the machines in to Safe Mode, log on successfully, and I uninstalled KB3135173 and KB3124262. Reason for Karma (Optional) Successfully updated karma reason! Also, while this might run contrary to common sense, with Sins runtime errors are basically Minidumps without logs. So come on! Then I will tone down to the minimum and see if it gets less frequent.

Please take the time to register with us. Usually such crashes occur more randomly however, in which case it might be impossible to recreate the exact circumstance that caused the game to crash.
Also,tid242, on the "Load Game" screen you should be able to hit the "Change Save Type" button until the title changes to "Single-Player Auto-Saved Games" and see the list of auto-saved Hope this helps.
